Paddy Moran Tree Climbing

Paddy Moran demonstrating traditional tree-climbing using a length of lawyer cane vine.
Rainforest nuts that were not too toxic would be consumed by the local animals shortly after landing on the ground.
The Ngadjon used to climb trees using only a length of lawyer cane vine to collect such tasty nuts for example (black walnut).
The nuts were then stored in damp pits in the ground to prevent cracking and used to sustain the population over several months the wet season.
More toxic nuts such as the black bean could be collected from the ground but would take 4 days of preparation to remove the toxins and make them safe to eat.
